for some reason, i cannot post smilies on my laptop replies, I have to resort to the old fashioned way of typing what they are, for example - big cheesey grin i have to type : D next to each other to get a

Is this the way or should I just be able to click on smilies?

The bottom of my page shows:

additional options:

ticked box - Miscellaneous Options
ticket box - Show your signature
ticked box - Automatically parse links in text
ticked box - Automatically retrieve titles from external links
box not ticked - Disable smilies in text

also on my posting rules it says:

You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may post attachments
You may edit your posts

BB code is On
Smilies are On
[IMG] code is On

Have you tried clearing your history cookies and cache that might help.
