This is an issue I've raised before, asking if a YouTube embed button can be added to the options in the post text box. At the moment the only way you can add a YT video is to copy and paste the direct link in your posts.

The embed code (which normally allows you to view the video in a forum post without being taken to the YouTube site)...

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uqgJ61tei1g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

As you can see, the embed code doesn't work. Only the direct link works.

copy and paste the bit on the address bar after the = in between the two brackets of the bb code above, just take the space between the first bracket and the Y out I left it so it would show in this post

I tried doing it last night, what BBCode should be used? (Cant see the BBCode you used Waterlily)

EDIT: Now I can see it... Maybe I was being blind

That definately wont work as its HTML - HTML cant be used on forum posts, signatures etc. If I remember correctly its because allowing people to use HTML can cause security issues.

It works when you tap it into the YouTube embed button on other forums running on the same vBulletin platform.
