Maybe the BBCode ignores the HTML and just grabs what it needs? No idea to be honest.

I've seen it being used on another well-known pet-related forum, and again on two fly fishing forums (one of them is quite large). I'm not familiar with forum coding, only the basic adminisitrative side of things. Is HTML really dangerous?

Not sure if it really is to be quite honest, or how it could be used against the forum, just know that it should be used with caution.
