Copyright issue

Hello! Mark or the mods, or anyone else who knows for that matter. When I post something on here, who has the copyright to what I write?

In particular, I am thinking of the A-Z lists of cat food that I have now found copied in other places. By posting them on this forum, have I forfeited the copyright to them?

Cannot you not put a c in a circle! that is what we used to do!
so maybe you are better to copy it as a link with the copywrite on the bottom!

copyright(c)hobbs2010
But think forum t & c's will have that covered!

Cannot find the right symbol for the (c) -but it is in the hidden keyboard!

I maybe wrong, and am not a mod but as this is an open forum, and your posts will come up in a google search I am sure you hold no copy right over your posts!

That is what I was wondering DT. Had a quick look in the T&C but didn't see anything.

I am hoping it is going to be as simple as the © symbol

Re: Copyright issue

Hobbs I may be able to help with this. See HERE you own the copyright hun, much the same way us photographers own the copyright of any picture we take, unless we have a contract drawn up and a substantial sum is paid to sell this copyright to another person/company.

That link is mostly about book, poems and songs but what you have created is still your creation, so you own it. It's not the same as a post of general discussion.

Just because something shows up on google and because it is an open forum doesn't mean that I give up my copyright I believe.

Just to clarify. This is not the case of the posts coming up in google searches. This is people actively copying the lists and posting them in their name without reference to me or the pf.
