rep question

i was just wondering how the rep thing works?
Ive had a few members leaving me rep but i only have one square, how many points do you need for 2 sqaures etc.

Hi,

Its quite complicated, if you get reputation from someone with a low reputation, you get less points than with someone with a high reputation. You need a lot of points to get a good reputation so it takes time.

So what is the point then?! I know people can tell you what they think of your post, but what I meant is that your rep totals don't matter. I mean you don't get special privileges if you have more rep.

No you dont get privileges but if you ask for advice about something and can see the person has alot of good rep you can assume they are a reliable source and if the person has bad rep its the same

My post count is mucked up. I had a lot of posts in this section, but when all the threads got deleted, I lost a load of posts.

oh yeah, i remember now, there was a big bust up a month or so ago, i had some deleted but not as many as you

Why are some squares light green and some squares dark green? I've not worked that one out yet!
