Is there anyone here who has/wants a career in animal related industry?

If so what do you or what do you want to do?

Be interesting to see the range of careers

Re: Is there anyone here who has/wants a career in animal related industry?

Well, at the moment I'm working with people with disabilities in a residential home, but I am also currently doing a Degree in Canine Behaviour & Training, so in the future I'm hoping to go into some area of work in the canine industry, not too sure what yet though! lol

Cool Re: Is there anyone here who has/wants a career in animal related industry?

I work on a farm - chickens, sheep and horses. Also teach a bit (riding) and do a bit of breaking and schooling

Re: Is there anyone here who has/wants a career in animal related industry?

As a teenager (many moons ago) I worked Saturdays (cash in hand) barrowing offal for the men who did the actual killing.
Little shop of horrors is an understatement! The sights, the sounds and the smells were so bad I only managed to do 4 weekends.
I couldn't even begin to describe how desperate and hollow it used to make me feel inside. I think it takes a very special sort of person to kill an animal without regret or remorse, someone who can detach themself from conscience.

Re: Is there anyone here who has/wants a career in animal related industry?

Sounds good, i would love to live on a farm!

Ooh bet that is a very interesting degree to study

Hmm i completly agree with you, I hope to study veterinary science in two years time, hence the work experience.

I think i would be comfortable ending an animals suffering, whilst still feeling remorse, however to kill an animal that is not suffering, to take away its life for some other purpose...i couldnt do it.
