new product question
Hi
I got my boyfriend a new tank for xmas (after several not so suitable hints!) I found this on the practical fishkeeping website whilst doing some research and it looks quite good Fish Tank Supplies | Aquarium Supplies | Tank Guard it's called tank guard and it stops algae building up, it seems to work really well, has anyone else used it? the fish keeping this is more his thing than mine so any advice would be much appreciated thanks

Notice how it says "Prevents build-up of algae - then allows finger-wipe removal"...
 This statment implies that it doesn't prevent algae growth completely, per se, it only makes removal easier. Personally I think it's another over-hyped sales gimmick. I'd invest in a good quality scraper instead.
