suprise babies

hi
we have 2 goldfish in our pond, this morning i was clearing out the leaves when i spotted 3 little fish-about 3/4 of an inch long. they are a dark brown colour and as the pond was only dug at the start of the year im guessing our origional 2 must have bred???

will i need to bring the babies inside before the weather gets any colder (the pond is only small and about 18 inches at deepest point.

thanks in advance

Re: suprise babies

to be honest i dont think baby fish will get through the winter with your pond so shallow it may even be to shallow for the fish you have in there already. I would be inclined to bring them in. I had a nature pond and didnt even add fish just weeds etc and when we had to fill it in due to moving etc and a baby we had 5 fish we think there must had been either fry or eggs in the plants.
