Okay so im in a tiz

Anyway i was at the fair and thought i wonder if ther are any gold fish.
There was
I won 2 'goldfish'

One of them (oblivion) is a bristol shubkin

SHE looks JUST like a sprat fish same colour same shape.

Just wanted to no WTF ! why do i have a sprat fish in my tank are goldfish and sprat fish compatible will they get one, like will the goldsish eat all the food leaving none for dorris?

Is she okay in the tank, as i have become attached to her, should i go back to the fair and get one of her own kind ?

I have a 4ft by 2 ft tank so room isnt an issue (Y)
there isnt much on sprat fish care, as most people eat them
so help please

Re: A Little Help :/

I seriously doubt that you've been given a Sprat (Sprattus sprattus balticus) as this is a marine species and wouldn't survive in freshwater conditions required by goldfish. Chances are that it's a young goldfish, which are naturally a silver or brown colour for the first few months of life, before they lose this colour and develop the gold or canary-yellow pigmentation.

Common goldfish can top 30cm/12" so you'd be looking along the lines of a 6 x 2 x 2ft tank once they're fully grown. If the fish turns out to be an Orfe (equally as likely) then you'd be looking at around 46-60cm/18-24".
