Advice on changing filters please..

Hi Everyone,

I am just doing all my water changes on my tanks and 1 in particular isn't as clear as I would like it.

all water parameters are fine so maybe I shouldn't do this but I want to change this one from an undergravel to a Fluval plus.

My question is... obviously I have got to run both the filters at the same time until the fluval is mature but would this be ok and what end do I place the Fluval? At the end with the uplift? or will this interfer with the cycle of the undergravel?

Also I do not want to remove the undergravel filter, just plug it off. It has all the healthy, juicy bacteria in it now but will it be ok left in the long run?

Thanks everyone

Re: Advice on changing filters please..

Thanks Fishyfins..

Yes I thought at the other end...not sure if I've heard it somewhere before.

Just one other thing, it says that you can have them laying on the bottom on their backs? Is this ok do you know? as I seem to have misplaced the suckers.

The pump that is running the undergravel will still be running the air (it says block off the air adapter with the plug that is supplied.

Otherwise I have got to turn out the shed
