could her babies have died inside??

i posted already about a silver molly being pregnant and huge its like 3 and a half weeks since i bought her or there abouts and shes still huge same as she was when i bought her. could her babies have died inside of her? she dont seem to be sick or anything shes still very active so i dont know what to do for her, any suggestions ill take any at this point

It could be that the female is producing infertile eggs rather than live fry so I would keep a close eye on the fish and see if you can spot any eggs on the plants or the decor. If you can't see any then another possibility is that the female has consumed the fry.

the reason i asked is because she was still so huge but i got my answer when i woke up the other morning and in my rush to get to work i saw about 50 fry in the breeder tank. so she is fine just had a long gestation

awwwww.....my mollie just gave birth yesterday although i didnt have such luck as my other fish chased her around the tank and snaffled most of the fry

Theres 2 left that i can see...thing is my other mollies are pregnant too and i hate the thought of this happening again...think i should invest in one of the floating tank things
