I know the first post is nearly a month old, but It seems no one's gonna answer it anytime soon.
Discus are, in my opinion, the most difficult tropical fish to keep. If you've not kept tropical fish before I wouldn't recommend them, but otherwise they can be very rewarding and are spectacular fish to have in an aquarium.
They do have a few special requirements that makes keeping them tricky.
They usually require more frequent and large water changes, along with a massive aquarium as they grow quite large and need plenty of space. Discus come from a native habitat that contains soft acidic water, so It is very important to maintain the water quality at around 6.8 Ph and at 82-4 degrees F (28-9 degrees C).
Angel fish can be kept with Discus, but bare in mind they can carry diseases that they can cope with but Discus cannot.
