something has layed eggs nned advice !!!

Just come home our tank has been running a year now anyway something has layed eggs on the outside of the filter not sure what but the angels are trying to eat the eggs what can we do to protect them ??

we have 2 catfish
1 placo
2 angels
4 gormie (sp)
3 sucker loach
and some random small fish not sure what they are

It will be the angels. There isn't much you can do with them to save them

yes just looked up and yes it does look like the angel fish eggs its the first time they have layed them

I used to keep a separate small tank ready for my Angels to spawn in so they didn't have any competition from other fish wanting to eat the eggs. A slab of almost upright slate or an earthenware plant pot is ideal for them to lay their eggs on. They sometimes appear to be eating the eggs, but they are actually tending to them and removing the "duds".

Cichlids are great fun to keep because they readily breed once the water quality is right, have a good number of eggs that hatch and fiercely defend the young.
