Re: do fish......
Fish don't 'sleep' in the same way that humans and other mammals do, but they do enter a period of rest with less active behaviour. Freshwater Bass for example hide under submerged branches and logs at night. Many fish on a coral reef enter small cracks and crevices in rocks during darkness to avoid predators.
Many fish in aquariums sit motionless in one corner of the aquarium or just under the surface. |
