Feeding

Hey guys,

I been looking after my GF tropical fish since last sunday.

I was away working for what I thought was only going to be be just one overnight Monday which due to the muppets I have to endure ended up being 3 nights.

I got back tonight and fed them and they seem hungry. Am I right in thinking they should not have to much food in one sitting or can I just drop a large steak in there for them ?

Please help as I dont want my dangly bits squeezed hard when she gets back if it goes Pete Tong

Re: Feeding

no, certainly dont put a lot of food in for them! if anything, just add their usual ammount.

to be fair though, depending on the length of time your GF is away, id just leave them. tropical fish can go for surprisngly long times without needing to be fed, with no ill effects. usually around 2 or 3 weeks.

most experts say that if you go away for a week or two, just leave them. it actually can do them a bit of good, as it gives their digestive systems a rest. its what i do when i go away, and ive ever yet had any problems.
