Anyone got any? I've just started up a small tank and only got these at the mo.

I absolutely love Pseudomugil gertrudae for tanks smaller than 30 litres, they provide an interesting change from the usual nano-tank suspects.

These fish are quite adaptable however they thrive in more acidic conditions and these conditions should certainly be replicated when attempting to breed them.

Thank you - I'm quite taken with them, cant wait for them to colour up. Not putting anything with them just love them on their own. Heard they are quite short lived tho??

Two or maybe three years is the norm in my experience, however that is about average for a large number of small fish, including tetras and rasboras.

I read somewhere about a year was all that could be expected but assumed it would be the same for other fish too.

They arent very common here so it's nice to be different and they are v entertaining to watch
