I've not posted any pictures of my tanks on here, however here is my latest project which I have just set up.
The tank isn't very big, it's only 18 x 10 x 10". For substrate I'm using 1/2" of ADA amazonia soil topped off with 1" of standard playsand. The lighting is an 11w Arcadia Arc pod, I've tried to use something different including balancing a pair of T8 reflectors and Dennerle tubes on the rim of the tank without much success. I'm dosing the tank based on the Estimative index or EI method with Tropica Aquacare nutrition + and a liquid carbon additive known as Easylife easycarbo.
The blue stone in the middle of the tank is known as Blue Seiryu stone, it can be found on a few specialist aquatic plant suppliers around the internet.
Plant wise there are twelve bunches of Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green' and one Amazon sword however I intend to add a couple more to conceal the filter.
The tank just after planting...
A snail, taken with one of my 'dodgy' macro lenses.
After four days of growth the Cryptocorynes have taken off...
