My Fish Tank

Hi everyone,
im new to this section of this website. Im usually only on the cat and dog threads.
Ive had my tank for just over a year now, its The Juwel 190 Trigon. We have a mixture of fish in it.
A Catfish - weve had him since we got the tank - hes my fav
An elephant fish
Mollies x 2
A mountain Goby
Loaches x 2
Gourami
and finally a few snails

My tank still looks empty though so i think i might get a couple more soon.

You can see a few silver sharks in the pic but unfortunately they died

My light unit has broke on the tank and i need to get a new one. Anyone know anywhere cheap?

Thanks

Re: My Fish Tank

Nice tank, Would look lovely if you could add some live plants, Vallis is a nice and easy one to grow. Vallis as it grows also helps to keep the water quality good.

Do you know if the bulb has gone or is it the whole light unit?

Re: My Fish Tank

Hiya, i have some live plants now - i didnt at the time of taking the pic.

No its definately the unit. I have tried replacing the bulbs and changed the fuse and then changed the whole plug (just incase, lol) but i seems that it is the unit
Ive found one for £48 - i think thats gonna be the cheapest i can get it.
Ive not had mush look with this tank to be honest. I had to replace the heater just before xmas, it just wasnt heating the water and it was on the highest setting.

Re: My Fish Tank

£48 that's expensive, if its the whole unit tho I suppose it has to be done.
Most heaters that come with a tank are not up for the job anyway, best to get a heater that's slightly more over powered for the tank size, that way the heater doesn't have to work as hard. On some of my tanks I run two heaters just in case.

BTW I like the Sponge bob
