Re: My Two Efforts
Each tank is different ecologically, it all depends on how well a tank matures. However, I have to be honest, I would never recommend keeping so many fish in a 35 litre tank as technically, it is highly overstocked in biological terms.
In particular, I would never recommend Bristlenoses for a 35 litre aquarium. These fish can grow to 13cm/5" in length and really need a tank that's twice the size. If you have a problem with the filtration system or if the power cuts out, ammonia and nitrite will accumulate to lethal amounts in a few hours. |

Re: My Two Efforts
Further to my post of 18/07 2011 with the accompanying vids, may I ask you to examine the following two offerings and possibly explain the following odd occurrence ?
The first video was shot yesterday at approx. 14.00 an I did notice that a slight depression had formed in the gravel to the right of the tank. This is only just visible on the video, and so was ignored. 35L.mp4 video by bilzin1 - Photobucket The second video was shot at approx. 10.30 today 19/07/2011 and it has now grown in size. The last water change was a 25% done 16/07/2011 and I always change tank water with a syphon and ensure the replacement water is directed over the "rocky" ornament in the background, so no chance of gravel disturbance by water addition. ooer ! video by bilzin1 - Photobucket May I add now that neither of these videos have in any way been altered or enhanced, and if a resident expert on this topic could offer an explanation for this odd occurrence I would be most grateful. My only hope is that it's not a case of piscatorial flatulence, as I have no experience of tank re enforcement whatsoever. Mystery Over The depression in the substrate was caused by the outflow from the jet pipe of the filter, change in it's angle soon had things back to normal !
