Okay so I was wondering how many of you work your ferrets? and if you could tell me a llittle bit about ferreting as im usaing it in a project im doing for college. Im finding it hard to find some good info on it so I can wondering if anyone could explain it too me?? I could show you what i have so far?? but its not very much haha :P and would you be able to explain the whole process for me and why is it a good hobby or 'sport' or is it used as a type of population control? what do you do witht he rabbit carcass? do you keep it and eat it your self? or do you feed it to your ferrets?

Any info would be greatly appraciated, or any good websites as well. Thanks.

Hiya,
I don't work my ferrets but there are sites which will give you lots of info e.g. 'FERT' can't recall what it stands for lol but if you search for Droitwich Ferret Rescue (uk) they have amazing info on all kinds of ferrets and have links to 'FERT'. What I do know is you can have a ferret which you work and also have them as pets, they can multi task lol. There is also an amazing Austrialian web sit called All About Ferrets which gives loads of hints and tips. A small word of caution tho'!! You need to take ALL advice with a pinch of salt, everyone has their own ideas on the correct way to care for ferrets so what works for them may not work for someone else. Good luck with your project

Thanks, yeah i know alot of people have their own ways of doing things lol

I spoke to friends dad who does it so i got the majority of my info from him since no one replyed here lol. Yeah he said the friendly ferrets are the best for ferreting, because he keeps them as pets as well as for working.
