Re: Walking Ferrets???

Hello. I've got two ferrets and I take them out whenever the weather's nice. We started going out as soon as they had their jabs done when they were 3 months old and now they love it, especially all the attention we get from other people. That being said, one enjoys it more than the other. Minxy is always quite happy to talk to people and dogs, however Boo would rather lay in her bag just taking in the sights. Be warned though, if the weather's been a bit nasty and you come across some nice soft mud, expect to be taking home some very dirty little ferrets, lol xXx

I'm glad it's not just my ferrets that do that. They love to jump in mud

Talking Re: Walking Ferrets???

Oh they absolutely love it! Especially my albino (typically, lol).

To all of you who are having harness trouble, I tried a few different types before I found one the ones at FerretCourture.co.uk. It dosn't matter how much they pull they can't get out of them at all. Getting them on is quite easy too as they have little clips which are easy to attached. They do fabulous little colloars too. It took a few practice attempts and lots of wriggling and biting before they got used to them, but now they happilly let me change from their collars to their hanresses and back again.

Also good for walkers are their ferret bags which you can clips the harnesses into. I don't like my ferrets walking on main roads as they get really freaked out by the traffic, but with the bag I can clip them in and they can't go anywhere.

Warning though, the little jumpers and hoodies look way too tempting... xXx

I know. My friends think I'm a little sad because of it, lol. I think I might have to get the girls fairy wings at Christmas though (see the 'Seasonal' section)

Ahh... My two are tiny. I went and saw their Dad the other day and he's about four times the size of them - twice as long and easilly twice as fat, lol. Mine definately fall into the pettit category... xXx
