Help with intro's

Hey everyone,
I have an 8 month old female (Spayed) ferret called Toki and to be honest I think she gets a bit lonely at times (we all need a friend, dont we?) so I'm thinking of getting her a buddy. I have the space and time and a good ferret vet close by so I dont think adding a new fuzzy will be a huge deal but my problem is I've never done a ferret introduction.
I have been offered a six month old male who is very friendly and I'd like to have him but how to I go about creating a bond between them?
Should I bring Toki with me to meet him before we decide to bring him home?
Can anyone give me some tips to make it all go smoothly?
I have 2 cages ready and a safe room for them to play in but I'm so worried about potential fights etc.
Thank you in advance

Re: Help with intro's

as she is only 8 month old you should not have any problems (as the hob (male is 6 month) If he isnt in season and still looks acts like a kit then Id say they should get along, it will depend on him really. They should not fight as you have two cages you can introduce them slowly but if i where you I'd just put him in her cage and let them sort it out (obviously if they fight badly separate) but what I will say is there has been a big outbreak of Canine Distemper recently (in the UK) so unless you know the male and trust where he has came from I would be careful.
