hey don't know if anyone can help but i thought i would try this.

i have just bought some agility jumps to use at class but we use a community hall so it has a slide floor and i don't want to use them without some form of rubber matting to put down, as I don't want any of the dogs to get hurt.

its not going to be a full agility thing its just to give the dogs something extra to do in a recall or a fetch.

so i was wondering where is the best place to get rubber matting for the jumps, i have found some suppliers of ribbed rubber matting but i don't know if that will hurt the dogs feet when the jump and land.

can anyone advise me please.
thanks.

I am trying to rehome my beautiful dog and was wondering if anyone doing agility or flyball would be interested in him? he is a gorgeous black and white, 2yr old neutered male and looks more springer than collie. I rehomed him from the pound as a companion for my collie girl but we lost her very suddenly to a blood clot last year, since then, due to a back injury i have struggled to fulfill his needs. he is difficult on the lead due to lead anxiety but is very good off the lead and has good recall, he loves to play with his ball and can shift at a real pace. He is a very intelligent dog and quick to learn and would love to have a real purpose, something to focus his energy on. He adores my 5 year old daughter but can be a bit over zealous when doing his flying hug, not very keen on cats but with the right training i'm sure he will do anything he's told. He will make a very loyal companion and hopefully a very successful team member, please get in touch if you can help, we are on the Wirral :001_smile:

Can anyone explain what happens on an agility competition day and what you have to do? What time do you have to be there? What rules are there in the showground? What facilities do they usually have, ie toilets, burger bars etc? Do you have to get into a queue for your class? Can you walk around the showground with your dog?

I have these items to train on at home:

12 weave poles
3-4 jumps
Tube tunnel
Contact trainer (a door laid on the ground which I train his contacts over)

So I could get a chute tunnel (but he has no problems with this at agility class), more jumps, A frame, or seesaw (but over exercising on it could have potential joint impact. he hasn't learnt the seesaw yet at agility class but he's gone on it about 2 times but I tilted it). Which should I get?

(sorry for the double similar threads, but I got confused on the other thread so decided to do a new one).
