The german shepherd dog is fast becoming one of the most popular breeds worldwide, but to be honest its not hard to see why! as an owner of shepherds thoughout my life i have got a passion and respect for what i consider to be a versatile, intelligent, loyal and stunningly beautiful breed of dog.
German shepherds are often used for police and security work because of their intelligance and egarness to please their master.
An ideal working german shepherd is around medium height, muscular and alert. An adult male should be around 25 ins high and the adult female around 23ins. The body should be slightly longer then their height.
