All of these early documents describe the Croatian Sheepdog because it is today. A systematic selection process was started by Prof Romic in the spring 1935, and after more than three decades of labor, the breed was officially recognized through the FCI in 1969.

The Croatian Sheepdog is an important native Croatian breed. They descend in a dogs that Croats transported from their former territory to the present region they occupy today. Present shooter breed is of lower medium height and also the base color is always all black, although there may be really small patches of white on its' chest and/or toes. If socialized early, however, it responds well to dog obedience training. Croatian Sheepdog is a healthy breed with a life expectancy of 13 every single child 14 years. The dog is the most breeds that would not desir an extensive grooming routine as is valued for its working ability instead of a for its physical attributes. The breed is the average shedder. Grooming routine would consist occasional brushing to take dead hair. A very dirty Croatian Sheepdog may be bathed as far as it is not done very often so they won't remove the natural oils which they weatherproof the coat.

The Croatian Sheepdog does not involve extensive grooming routine, as it's an average shedder. However, the dog is also groomed occasionally by brushing, to get rid of dead hair. Also, the dog should be no bathed too often, since therefore can remove the natural natural oils that weatherproof the coat.

Croatian Sheepdogs are commonly very hardy, healthy, and easy to care for. However, they do require significant daily exercise and must have ample room to run. Caring, dedicated, intelligent, and brave, these dogs are fantastic workers and wonderful companions. These highly energetic dogs are all active and require significant activity. With their intelligence and alert natures, Croatian Sheepdogs are several trainable.
