[edit] IntroductionA muscular and courageous breed known as the Gladiator of the dog race belonging to the Terrier Dog Group.
[edit] Origin and HistoryThis breed originated from England in the late nineteenth century by crossing fighting dogs that carried Bulldog blood with terriers. Among them were the now extinct White English Terrier and even Dalmation. In 1850 James Hinks of Birmingham was the first person to standardise the breed type.
[edit] AppearanceA strong built, muscular breed with a distinctive egg shaped head. The eyes appear narrow and triangular. The ears are small, placed closely and are held erect so they point upwards. There are no official height or weight limits for this breed but height tends to range from 21-22 inches and weight 52-62lb. The appearance should be of maximum substance for the size of dog. They come in many colours such as white, brindle, black, red, fawn, tri, all of which can be with white. The Minature Bull Terrier follows the same breed standard as the Bull Terrier apart from height.
[edit] TemperamentFun, very friendly and affectionate. The Bull Terrier requires firm handling, careful training and early socialisation. This breed loves people and is particularly good with children. The breed tends to have a happy outlook on life. [edit] Health[edit] External LinksCharrycas Bull Terriers - Suppliers of Profile Photo
