The Bucovina Sheepdog is really a native breed from the Carpathian Mountain tops, in Bucovina in the North-East associated with Romania. In this region, this breed’s folks are used with great success with regard to guarding herds and property. This dog is also called Dulau (shepherd’s dog) or even Capau. The first standard was created in 1982 and updated in 2001 through the Asociatia Chinologica Romana (Romanian Crate Club). The present regular, dating from March 29, 2002, was written and updated based on the model established by the 1987 FCI Common Assembly from Jerusalem. The Bucovina Shepherd is soon to become recognised by the FCI, even though its cousins are officially accepted already.

Uniform colors: Uniform robes (without spots) completely black or white are accepted but not favored by breeders and in display rings.The Bukovina's head is substantial, slightly elevated with respect towards the back line. The cheeks are not notable The eyes are small when compared with the dimensions of the head, almond-shaped and slanting, chestnut coloured or slightly lighter, never yellow-colored. Eyelids are well pigmented. The actual ears are implanted relatively higher, shaped, with the extremity somewhat rounded, fallen, and very near to the cheeks. The skull is actually moderately wide. The stop is actually slightly marked. The nose is black well toned and wide. The muzzle has got the shape of a truncated cone, from the same length as the head, well developed. It becomes progressively narrow for the extremity but it is in no way pointed. On the body, the actual hair is abundant, straight, heavier and harder, 2- 3inches (6-9 cm. )#) lengthy. The next layer of locks is shorter and thick, having a lighter color. On the neck of the guitar, the hair is longer and forms a locks (mane). On the backside from the legs, the hair forms fringes associated with moderate length. The lips are heavy, well applied, with strong skin tones. This breed should have powerful jaws, with healthy white teeth along with a scissors bite. Level bite is actually allowed. The neck is reasonably long, bulky and strong, without having dewlap. The muscular body is massive having a well supported back. The upper body is wide and tall, reaching the amount of the elbows with well curved ribs. The tail is actually bushy, covered with longer as well as thicker hair. Coat color: the backdrop must be white with well-defined, sand-charcoal coloured, black or brindled patches. About the legs, there can be small black or other color falls. When the dog is relaxed it has a tendency to hold the tail low, reaching the idea of the hock or actually lower. When the dog is alert and it is paying attention or is for action, the tale is elevated. In this instance it may rise above the amount of the back, sickle shaped. Your skin is thick, well applied as well as dark gray. The hair is short about the head and on the fore face from the legs.

The Bucovina Shepherd Dog actually for his size, is usually affectionate, calm and very faithful. They make great watchdogs and won't back down when there is perceived danger to self or even family. They have a rather ominous bark that may scare most anyone.

The Bucovina Shepherd Dog may not possess a long hair but it comes with a thick hair that would want regular grooming. Brushing the coat everyday will prevent matting and gaze after the coat's gorgeous appearance. Frequent bathing won't be necessary as it will dry the oils of the skin. A Bucovina though is definitely an energetic and playful breed. Your dog can be dry shampooed to get rid of dirt clinging to the locks.

The thick hair of the Bucovina shepherd dog requires normal or frequent grooming. It is nearly mandatory to brush the layer everyday, to prevent matting and gaze after the gorgeous appearance of the actual outer coat. However, frequent bathing isn't essential, as it removes the natural oils present on the top of skin. Bucovina shepherd dogs could be dry shampooed to remove the dirt that remains mounted on their hair.

It is not hard to coach because it is intelligent and wanting to make pleasure to its grasp. Beautiful results can be achieved having a gentle and consequent training. The master shouldn't forget about uts independent aspect.
