Lightbulb Re: dog walking logo

There will be many Graphic Artists that will charge an arm and several paws to do this, cheaper routes would include a forum dedicated to art and design as a hobby, I have used such places before for similar stuff and just needed to credit the work rather than pay a fee. Also consider an local art-school or college, many there would love the ideal of a "professional" commission to start their working portfolio. (There is a girl in our local art school that I noted the name of because of some of her work shown in the local library - she did a very good dog in alternative materials.)

When getting the basic work done you need to know a bit about scaling images so you get the finished art work as a large size .TIFF (is best) file and then scale it down to the reproducible size suitable for business cards or letterhead etc. Then maybe an animated version for the web site. (if a future expansion) Consider getting a few versions done, maybe a spooky one for Halloween and a Christmas one for seasonal updates of the web-site. Simple application of ideas that mean minimal extra work at the time of creation but allows a simple update of the web-site later on to keep it fresh and dynamic.

For the image you suggest, I would have an animated version waging it's tail for the web-site also a left-right reversed image so they could stand either side of the title at the top of the page like guardians on a coat of arms. In fact the idea of a mock coat of arms for dog walking is IMHO a good one,

Once you have this work don't loose it through a silly computer outage, you need to maintain it along with other important IT stuff so burn off on CD or use on-line storage.
