Hi everyone,

My name is Chance - I'm about 10 weeks old and healthy mix of black lab and Collie. I'm very cute and my current owners rescued me from the dogs home. I'm too young to remember how I got there but since moving to my nice new home they have bought me a great crate - which I love. Loads of toys and feed me well.

However, in return I bite my owners and do whatever I please. If they so 'NO' I just look at them and carry on.

Although I've had my first jab I'm a couple of weeks off the second and so stuck in the house/garden.

I enjoy eating plants, digging up the grass and I'll happily wee and poo anywhere.

What should my owners be doing to get me to behave and respond to there calls?

They try toys - A Nyla (sp) bone, a big wraggy knotty rope type bone and a squikey trainer (which I love) but that gets me more excited.

Some times they shout "NO" or "LEAVE" in a very firm voice. But they also put their hand out to re-enforce the message which I just love to bite.

Will I grow out of it? If so when?

putting hands out makes it worse as you say you want to bite them so i wouldnt put my hands out and with a loud NO.

you will stop your young and silly like all pups, and you need things to chew for your new teeth to come through, i think a big juicy beef bone from the butcher [which are normally free] would be very nice for you, and keep you busy for a while as well.

yes you leave little note all over the house they will soon get the message and go get you a nice bone.

I have a camera and have already sussed the self timer. However, my owner won't let me have to lead to upload the shots (Very unreasonable). If I stop chewing long enough they may get some piccies uploaded then I can show you all what I look like!

ok will await and see be a good boy and dont chew, and hope they have found you a really lovely puppy class to go to then you can play with other pups and make new friends.

Hmmm, puppy classes? I overheard them mention those. Are they worth it? Am I likely to find a good looking boy to get friendly with?

oh yes they really are worth going to, you will learn lots from them and make lots of friends and have lots of fun.
and if they find you one that do the kennel clubs good citizens test you will like them as get rewards for learning what to do and how to behave right when out and about
they do puppy good citizens and to up to the gold test.
