Re: Lead reaction/fear
This is a great BAT handout and recording your sessions will help with a more structured approach so Grisha has this form to fill out. Also cehck out Boogey the Boston Terrier's blog - Boogey is reactive and his owner is an amazing artist so regularly records his training sessions in her art! She has also developed a fab way of recording her training sessions - they are all over the blog and are filled with great ideas.
Your dog probably missed out on all sorts of important early socialisation in her early life and was also born to a nervous mum so was exposed to spooky behaviour early on as well as inheriting genes that may affect this behaviour. Lots stacked against her here ![]() She is also slap bang in the middle of adolesence so any reactivity is likely to increase at this stage. Highly recommend Emma Parsons Click to Calm book, Control Unleashed by Leslie McDevitt (the book not the DVD) and BAT work & resources. Perhaps put in place with the help of a suitably qual'd and experienced positive trainer.

Re: Lead reaction/fear
They think im more batty than before now haha.
Tripod she has come along way, we have a long way to go still. at first she wouldnt go past the gate, step by step she went a little further, at one point i would carry her over to the field, pronbably not the best idea, but she could hide from ppl in my coat, luckily she is still tiny haha. then she realised the field was fun, and now she walks/pulls me there, we play ball then come home avoiding as many people as possible haha. we managed to stand by the local shop once for a few minutes. She is here to stay so hoepfully she will get better, but if not we will have to go to the field everyday forever as she is happy there. If she has a bad day we dont go out, we play at home as she is more reactive to everything if she is hyped up xx

Re: Lead reaction/fear
Ann thank yu for all the links your fab.
I just knew when i saw her i couldnt leave her, atleast this way she wouldnt end up in a rescue which would break her. when she was so quiet i knew she would be like her mum, if not worse, but i still new she would be coming home with me, even being the wrong thing to do, I should of walked away, but i just couldnt, I dont know why. In the house unless she hears a loud noise she is perfect, a right little tinker, she has just off the sofa onto kane's head and is the process of beating him up haha xx
