Re: Book Wish List
Excellent list MerlinsMum! I’ve read most of the items on there, but a few definitely stand out. Brenda Aloff’s book on Canine Body Language is marvellous and I’d probably choose that one before Barbara Handelman's, though ideally you’ll get them both! I’ve just upgraded to the latest edition of the Handelman and was pleased to see a huge improvement in the picture quality. I can also endorse Katie’s enthusiasm for Leslie McDevitt’s book – it’s such an inspired read and should definitely be on everyone’s essential list
Some of my own recent favourites (I’ll try to add reviews later, time permitting, but meanwhile I’ve just added links): Adam Mikloso - Dog Behaviour, Evolution, and Cognition Infopet|| Books: Dogs: Extended review: Adam Miklosi Vilmos Csanyi – If Dogs Could Talk If Dogs Could Talk: Exploring the Canine Mind: Amazon.co.uk: Vilmos Csanyi: Books Alexandra Semyonova - The 100 Silliest Things People Say About Dogs A brilliant debunking of the many myths which still haunt the dog world: Alexandra Semyonova - BEYOND CESAR MILLAN Cheryl Smith - The Rosetta Bone: The Key to Communications Between Canines and Humans Welcome to Dogwise.com Linda Tellington-Jones – Getting in Ttouch With Your Dog Getting in TTouch with Your Dog: How to Influence Behaviour, Health and Performance: How to Understand and Influence Behaviour, Personality and Health: Amazon.co.uk: Linda Tellington-Jones: Books Alexandra Horowitz - Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/13/bo.../Schine-t.html Last edited by Inkdog; 20-03-2010 at 10:48 AM.. |

Re: Book Wish List
Wow - many more to add to my wish list now. I have some of them but not read them all yet. The last I read was the Culture Clash and I loved this. Just started Click to calm and seems good so far. I also enjoy alot of the TTouch books too.
