We only put paper down for a couple of days after we got the pups and then just concentrated on getting them to go outside, next time I wouldn't put paper down at all and train them to go outside from the very begining. If you think about you're just training them to do something you don't want them to do really.

Do you know where I can purchase the crate dividers from? Not seen any in the pets shops, unless I missed them. I'll have a snoop around ebay first.

Can't seem to find anything on ebay... there are some of the crates with the divider included though, but they are from the USA... so shipping costs would be through the roof.

Maybe my dad will be able to make me something up. He did for the cats house, used some wire/cage and cut it to size. We had to partition their bed because they would fight during the night.

I was doing it earlier, the fridge is full... but nothing to snack on! I keep going back every 10 mins hoping something will magically appear

it's gone 1am... best get my butt in gear!

Just an update:

I got the crate from Seapets. It's the smallest I could find and quite a bargain too, some other shops were charging over twice as much for the same size. I am hoping my dad can help me with making something incase the crate is a little to large.

So, when I get the pup home should I take it outside immediately to see if it needs to go to the loo?

I should imagine by the time I get home it will be around 8pm

I would if I were you, my pup was delivered and he wandered straight outside to explore anyway!

I am not totally sure, but I think my puppy has never been outdoors before (I mean into a garden). So hopefully there wont be too much freaking out, the last thing I want to do is cause upset.

I would have thought he will have been outside, most breeders start to toilet train pups before they leave for new homes, if not just let him explore in his own time!
