I cant imagine a JRT destroying a crate lol , you need to get a stronger one , try covering the crate with a cloth so he cannot see out it may help calm him down if he doesnt see outside .

Re: Jack Russell Needs Help

If a dog hated going in their crate that much personally I would stop using it. How do you get him in there?

You need to deal with the seperation anxiety before crating him or he could do himself some serious damage. Our Milo had seperation anxiety and we tried crating him, he loved it while we were in but hated it as soon as we left. We had to knock it on the head and deal with the seperation anxiety, once we had dealt with that there was no need for a crate because he's now perfectly behaved while we are out.
