Re: Really need help, pulling dogs

iv tried just abouts every thing you can buy for our mutt(except prong collar). The stopping when pulling didnt work either, tryed for weeks just took hours to get any where. Now if i stop he instantly comes to heal and waits but then pulls as soon as i start to walk. We do have a Halti but he goes along with his nose on floor trying to get it off, if that fails he uses front paws to scratch him self to bits.Im at a lose what to do but id never use the prong collar ever, hope your dog improves and you have more luck than me

Re: Really need help, pulling dogs

i have two rotties who can be a handful but i make sure that they sit and are calm b4 they go out, i have now started using a connecting lead to them both so that when one pulls he cannot get far if the other one doesn't pull, its made it easier to correct and takes the strain out of my arm (unless they REALLY want something lol) plus i can now keep them to one side and safe as we walk by roads etc.
