Re: Help Withe Crazy Puppies

hi Alan..................having two syblings especially bitches is not something i'd recommend. i know your circumstances are somewhat different and well done on taking one back.Years ago i sold 2 slitter sisters to a home only for one to be returned a year later as she was dominant over the other. Are you intending to keep them both?

Re: Help Withe Crazy Puppies

Thanks Sketch - I hope we're doing things right, this is a new scenario for me. They are trained separately, and walked separately at weekends, but hubby walks all of them together during the week. Last night they wanted to sleep together so we let them - you don't think this will make their bond with each other too strong do you?

They are lovely, i'll upload some more pictures soon. Taz is settling down now and has taken on our relaxed persona - she was quite fussy to begin with. It sounds daft, even though she's one of ours, it's like getting a new pup.

I've had to put different colour collars on so I can tell them apart as they're whizzing round - we now call them Ant and Dec when they're up to mischief.

It wasn't what we would have chosen to do, but I don't think I can bring myself to put the poor pup through the trauma of going to what would essentially be a 4th home. She will have gone from us and her litter mates to her new home, then back to us and then off again! She is settling in with us, there is no way I would attempt to rehome at Christmas, so by the time we would look into it, she would have been back with us for a month or so.

I think she will stay! She is lovely and was actually our first choice, although we agreed to let the buyers have her for various reasons that we thought were for the best You live and learn!

Eldest Daughter loves her to bits, so I don't think I can cope with round two of tears. It will take a lot of organising and doing things a bit different, but I know you lot on here will be great with advice.

Im no expert hun, but i feel if they are not always together then the bond is good, but not to devastating if something does happen.
They do get into mischief, like when Dalton has his op, it was carnage, Dalton used to get Kane playing tuggy with the buster collar and both went backwars so Dalton could slip his head out, then at one point Kane was licking Dalton's stitches for him.
They clear a field in a nano second when the boys are playing, people pick up there kids and run for the hills as they play, but sound like chewbacca on a washing machine, unless they have met them before then they dont bat an eyelid at the racket.
But im lucky they are so different, Dalton is very bold, Kane is a big wuss, and libby is always in the thick of it, even though she is nervy with her big brothers she is a tinker, but they let her especially kane,
If one goes to the office with kev, the other two arent bothered at all, they get on well but dont pine for one another either, quite often there is a pile of dog somewhere, all of them laying together sleeping.
xx
