Thumbs up Dominance in Dogs: the k9-Konspiracy... Read it here FIRST

pack leader

and having read it, lets talk about the Dog-Lovers Revolution...
the time is now, the place is everywhere we are,
rise up, brethren and sistren,
throw off the heavy yoke of dominance mythos, and come into the Light of a new day...
join the bright side of the Force, Positive is not permissive!

Hallelujah...
i have seen the light! dogs are not our oppressors or rivals,
they are our friends and helpmates; i can share a seat
or a snack, and the World will not tremble on its foundations!
Hurrah!

freedom... (takes a deep breath, smiles, sighs...)
its a wonderful thing...

LOL brilliant piece by Steve Mann. Yes, my dogs all charge out of the back door with me shuffling along behind yet ............ whoa! They don't resource guard against me and my husband? They always come back when we call them? They prefer to stay with us on walks instead of chasing after horseriders, rabbits, deer and other dogs? They even walk steadily on leads, let me groom them and clip their nails! Are my dogs pacifists do you think? They certainly would not make the grade for the CLF (Canine Liberation Front) who plan to take over the world!

Great link!

Mine's on the committee of the CLF... he feels duty bound to go ahead of me and round up any evil cows out of the way if we find them on a walk, and tonight he told the burglar alarm going off in Ladbroke's to bugger off! So maybe Steve Mann has got it wrong after all... Or should I be alpha rolling him and eating crackers out of his dog dish?

He's just an arsy git, and let's face it, we meet them in all walks of life.... my ex-bf was a case in study. Perfect training.... some say we never get what we can't handle....!

Nope, cos he looks at me with huuuuge big brown eyes in total innocence.... and when he says he loves me, I believe it.... [there's usually food involved...] but that's a lot more honest than the ex-bf! And he doesn't snore!

oh, dear.... the Big-Brown-Melting-Eyes ploy is IMO cheating.
of course, dogs are not bound by a moral sense,

but everybody knows that humans are hard-wired to respond to such visual appeal...
it is not fair to take advantage.

I personally think that my lot are plotting on the quiet! They are lulling me into a sense of false security and one day will trip me up, bury me in the garden and take over the house! My husband is too soft and laidback so they will probably just keep him as a pet!
