Re: hyper

How old is she?

Has she got a kong or a treat ball- that always calms them down. Specially if you put peanut butter in

Re: hyper

Can you do some training with her? Or is she too hyper to pay attention for that?

Re: hyper

if shes a pup 15 mins is fine, if shes older 30mins a day is not enough. What food are you giving as this causes so many problems. Shes just wanting attention as shes not seen you all day too - giver her a belly rub or something lol

i wouldn't worry. She's probably just overly happy after being taken for a walk.

Mika does this in a sense - he gets well hyper after coming from a walk and wants someone to throw something for a while for him you would think after a nice long walk he would be zonked out, clearly not lol. But i think he just wants to burn a little more energy so he can zonk out and settle faster.

When you come home, perhaps just leave her in a room with a toy or something to chew on, that will prob eventually tire her out somewhat and she'll be somewhat quieter for a while.

I have to agree perhaps she needs a little more exercise if she is not a pup. Also try playing mental games with her e.g. hiding treats, or doing some training. This will not only calm her down but also tire her out as it s hard work thinking hehe!

Having said all this, my 7 month old puppy decided at midnight to get her loudest squeaky toy out her box and squeak it all over the house. My parents who were already sleeping were HIGHLY unimpressed. A peanut butter stuffed kong did settle her eventually

Re: hyper

she is 8 months old now. she is quite obedient, i take her to classes and she has alot of focus on me.

i give her a 30 min walk after work then another 15 min in eve. once a week also take her to beach for a good run about

yes i have just bought a treat ball and have been putting peanut butter in and sometimes cheese spread , she loves it!

last night she did eventually stop barking

Re: hyper

see? That's all you got to do, at least until she's proper calm in the future. Just either play with her a bit just to tire her out or give her something she can do, ie play with a toy or give her the treat ball. It will keep her busy for a bit and calm her down and eventually poop her out.

he he thats funny she's clearly somewhat a clever girl in a sense "wake up and play with me' she was prob thinking. I'm in a way very glad Mika lost his squeaky toy, so we don't have to go through anything like that, although it wouldn't bother me totally as i'm sort of deaf so i wouldn't have heard him anyway if he ever did that.
