Mail Chewing

Why do dogs do this? Arghhhhhhhh!
Mostly our dog chews junk mail but yesterday he chewed the DVD that had arrived for my mums birthday.
The DVD was packaged fully. He even took the DVD out the plastic casing and chewed the actual disc!
I was so mad!

We have even fitted a mail catcher, but the blooming postman rams the post through meaning its busts open the mail cage! (i know this as I have been at home when he has done it before on several occasions)

Ameliexx is on a distinguished road
Re: Mail Chewing

I would get an outside mail box and then put a note on the letter box telling postie not to use it. If Murphy got to our mail he would wreck it but we have a door between the living room and hall

Outside mail box. Put it away from your door if possible and you also cut down on the barking that goes with the post being delivered!

Re: Mail Chewing

Thanks guys - have looked at outside postboxes that are wall mounted and they look great.
My only concern is that again the postman with not be able to fit a4 letter strough easily will he? (which is why he was rammng it through with the mail guard!)
