Anyway back on topic! Cheers K8T but theres already a Cesar uk Tour thread hun in dog chat!
They have and they do. But they do not seek the media publicity like he does, probably because they are too busy, who knows? There are plenty of them producing books and videos though. Cross Keys Books - Providing pet owners with the best pet care & training books, videos & training products

Re: Cesar in the UK!

I'm amazed by the hate reaction ceaser gets. sure I understand you have different methods to his to train your dogs but the work he does with dogs and the way dogs react to him is amazing . he has helped many dogs. I do sense a bit of jealousy towards his popularity . he seems like a bloody nice guy too

Not jealousy, sorry... that's the last emotion I feel when watching him. His methods are primitive to say the least, and we have come a long way since then. Under the UK's new Animal Welfare Act, it might be debatable whether his methods would be allowable in the UK. Italy is already seeking to ban his TV shows on the grounds of animal welfare issues.

Cool Re: Cesar in the UK!

I certainly do not 'hate' him as a person! Why would I? I do not know him.

I just loathe the fact that after dog training methods had moved on in in the UK, that people are being swept along by this celebrity dog trainer who is still stuck in the dark ages! It's like a huge step back sadly.

I don't hate the bloke - I hate some of his methods.

And why does having an opinion equal jealousy?

Spot on.... people who have been into dogs & dog training for a long time are the ones who are really really upset by this man.

Thanks. My friend who has run training classes for years is now being inundated with people who think that their dogs (whom they are often seen hissing and jabbing at!) are 'dominant'.

Re: Cesar in the UK!

I'll throw my hands up, I am very new to this dog world , but i've watched many episodes of the dog whisperer and never thought at one point ceaser was being cruel. he has the dogs best interest at heart and wants them to live a happy life and it seems to work . personally I find his work with dogs brilliant and I know many people who also find him amazing . hence why I was very surprised reading messages about his techniques on here

Sadly not ideal... I will try to find the link but some dog behaviourists (note - not trainers, but behaviourists.... these are the 'dog shrinks') that live near him, are finding 1 in 4 dogs coming to them for behavioural issues have been trained by people following "Cesar's way".
