aw I love the name rupert . yea his behaviour has got everyone in the household pretty down but we're the only ones who can change him so we'll persevere . thanking you all for the advice. I've got him a house lead now and the burns food . he also has a stairgate . fingers crossed he will change

putting him in a crate when hes mad as hell wont do him any damage at all, so long as your not rough putting him in and so long as youve tried other methods like ignoring etc, they usually settle down instantly, just make it den like if you do. let him in there to chill - no contact eyes or other for 10 mins and he'll come out brand new remember the water tray too lol mania can get them thirsty

edit: try to give commands in a steady fashion rather than a reaction tone. Bore them stupid with it but dont get excited/dramatic if they dont do it or get it wrong, theyll just hear this as playtime... it does take time to sink in but all adds without doubt you have got an interesting mix breed so see what he reacts to and stay with it - tone is everything
