Sorry for the late reply, I used the internet for a local trainer/behavourist. I called them first and asked what sort of thing they could help with (before I told him my problem). I think if you speak to them first you can decide on whether they can help you with your problem, there is no point getting them in if they can't!

Smile Re: Barking Problem

My neighbour's dog was really noisy, barking all the time, so in the end I got fed up and bought this device off the internet that sits on my fence and actually stops them barking. There are other products though that are suitable for use on your own dog, like anti-bark collars, you could give them a try, put them on your dog while you're out and take them off when you get home as it sounds like they are quiet enough when you're home.

here's the website if you're interested:

Hope this helps!

Re: Barking Problem

I agree with everything said actually. Definately if the dogs here stuff going on outside they will naturally bark to alert everyone. I bet your neighbhour wouldn't mind them barking if you lived in a high crime area
In fact an old saying is "its pointless to keep a dog and bark yourself". My next door neighbour makes more noise correcting his dog than his fdog makes in the first place

I have checked out the device recomended and it is suitable for indoors and oudoors and can be used in your own garden. I am seriously thinking of trying it out myself for my 3 mutts
Hopefully its ok for birds though as l'd hate to think they 'd be freaked out by it and move out of the garden or worse die.
