Bet ya get loads of fun out of him though - I know I do with mine - I find Rotts to be such characterful dogs - I giggle at mine every single day
Yes definitely, it is his teenager thing bless him. And you are so right and it's where we do fall down in that I have set commands I stick to, hubby will then say something different, Jag will get confused and it's unfair to him. And what doesn't help is that when we do have visitors here, as we're a breeding home, I'm up and down every 5 minutes to clean up cat spray, or to empty a litter tray etc. So I'll make a coffee for everyone, sit down and am up 2 minutes later 'cause someone has pissed up against a wall. (the cats, not the visitors lol) When I have got him to the point (eventually!) of being on his bed when anyone comes around, as soon as I get up and go to sort out a cat issue, he is up like a shot and straight back pawing at the guests.

But yes, we get tremendous enjoyment from him, he is a real clown, amazingly loving, with real soppy "love me" brown eyes, very intelligent but oh boy can he fart! I have never heard anything like it in all my life

I will admit that when this problem started, we did try putting Jag outside. The problem was that he would then jump up against the back wire screen door, and the glass patio door over and over, and he is relentless. So we can't put him outside when people come over.
No thats my sasha ,shes an angel ,she dont do anything wrong

Re: Behavioural problem - any advice please

Train him to do something else instead of jumping when he greets people, such as a sit or a down.
