Does spaying...

...affect a bitch's behaviour?
Bella is just 6 months old and has just been spayed and I was wondering if her behaviour will change at all? How will she mature now that she will never have a season?

Re: Does spaying...

I had Millie spayed after her 1st season, no change, still mad as ever.

I had Lulu spayed before her 1st season, at 7 months, no change, still mad.

dont worry about stuff that might never happen.

I have 9 dogs 8 of which are bitches, all spayed, no adverse effects.

hope you get on ok with yours - Genna xxxx

I had Polly, my yorkie spayed when she was young and it didn't seem to affect her behaviour one little bit. Even the operation itself didn't seem to cause her much distress.
