Re: Puppy Barking!!!!!

There are a few things that you can do with regard to barking. I have always taught my dogs to bark on command and quiet on command. It usually works beautifully.

Easy option is to use an anti bark collar, which omits a spray each time your dog barks. They can be purchased from any good pet store. Good luck

Re: Puppy Barking!!!!!

At the moment my husband has been stopping the car until he calms down and stops barking but 2 seconds after driving on he starts again
My husband has been looking into one of these collars mentioned but would like to know of anyone who has used one!!
We are sure that it is an excitement thing as when we get his collar and lead out he goes mental but we wont go out until he has clamed down, he will sit at the door and not go until we say!! It's just the barking in the car, like I say it drives us mad!!

Re: Puppy Barking!!!!!

I saw on telly tht putting black paper up on the windows helps
Slowly remove it sheet by sheet as he settles with it, any noise and but it back up.

I beilve it was "its me or the dog" but not 100%

Re: Puppy Barking!!!!!

The collar is completely harmless, and looks like a normal collar with a little box in the middle. The little box goes under the throat and at the first sign of barking it will emit a spray which is repugnant to your dog but smells lovely to us (well I like it ).

When I worked with Roger Mugford, he used it to great affect. You may want to try buying one on sale or return Stop Your Dog Barking with the Aboistop Anti-Bark Collar.
