Whining

Hi everyone, im looking for some help or advice. I own a Parsons Jack Russell Terrier who is just over 2years old, i need some advice on why he is whining so much?! I have searched the web for advice but all of the posts ive saw mention the dog is only whining when the owner goes out the room but my Parson does it even when im in the room with him for instance i could be just sitting watching TV and he will be plodding about playing with his toys one minute then the next he pays no interest in them and just starts wandering around whining, and it REALLY irritates me cos it is very high pitched and no matter what i do he just WILL not stop!!i try taking him out a walk, let him out to clean himself, distract him with his toys, clap him but nothing works etc!! anyone experienced the same or have any ideas?!

thanks in advance!

Re: Whining

Has he been to the vet to make sure there is not something making him uncomfortable??

Re: Whining

the whinning is not as if it is a 'im in pain' whine, cos i know if hes in pain cos he has had a few problems since we got him and ive learned what type of whine means hes in pain or if somethings not right. i just dont understand why hes doing it, i mean its not as if he has a reason to be unhappy or anything he has more toys and gets more attention than anything so its not even like a 'im feeling sorry for myself'! cos that one i do know!lol he had took an anaphalactic shock reaction to something about a year ago and his full head swoll up really badly but the vet couldnt tell us what could have caused it, we werent even decorating or anything so its not as if there was paint or paste lying around that he may have ate (thats what the vet suggested) but when we got him home, poor wee thing was sitting shaking and the ears were rightback cos he had been given about 4 different jags! and then the whinning started so i know the 'im feeling sorry for myself' whine! lol
