With regards to her recall have u tried training her recall to a dog whistle. just a thought. Might be worth a try??

My sista does the whistle wiv her bull terrier...it works 8 outta 10 times

mine have never been good on recall how ever hard i tryed, they stop wen i call them but thats about it which is betta then not stopping at all thats why i go places 9 outta 10 times no other dogs and people are...or in a area they cant get out of so they can run amock.

i only let them play wiv familys dogs so they do get socialized, or i let them meet other dogs on their extended leads wile out walking elsewhere because i get worried if another dog starts attacking , mine will no doubt retaliate even tho they are good with other dogs and i aint taking that chance.

dog going down the slide lol!!
I expect uv probably tried this but do you give your dog treats when he/she recalls?
You can try practising on a flexi-lead or a long line and then when you feel confident possibly let off lead.
Your right though it isn't worth taking risks.
