HELP! Puppy eating cat poo!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god even I can't believe he's done this!

We went to bed last night and he came with us, 5 minutes later he got up and started playing with Dotty and we thought nothing more of it. Until we thought it had got very quiet, so we went into the front room to find him EATING cat poo!!!!

Luckily they are house cats and always have been so they haven't picked up anything.

We are off to the vets this morning for his 2nd jab so we'll speak to the vet about this as well.

We have thought that maybe he is still hungry????????

He currently just gets dry puppy food in the morning and in the evening there is still some left.

Re: HELP! Puppy eating cat poo!!!!!!!!!!

LOL to my dogs this is called litter crunchies lol, I have to empty my cats litter very regularly, if I dont the dogs would be in there like a shot and clear it out, I have spoken the MANY people with dogs and cats that have said the same, its not unusual although not very nice lol.

Bl**dy mucky habit that most pups tend to do! Mine used to practically follow the poor cat around waiting for it to produce! They do grow out of it, and providing your cats are on no medications and a healthy is I believe harmless!

Ours did this too - the only real way to stop it is to clear the tray - but we got a tray with a hood and door and this helped.

It won't work as the dog will eat the poo if left in the house alone. You will just teach it to be sneaky

Re: HELP! Puppy eating cat poo!!!!!!!!!!

lol

I'm afraid your boy has discovered the all you can eat buffet - Doggy heaven!

He may well grow out of it has he gets older, in the meantime, if there is a way of keeping him out of the litter box then do this

Filthy habit, but i dont know a dog who wont do it given half a chance!
