Well since I've had her I've tried to socialise her with other very friendly dogs but to no avail she was still frightened by any other dog off the lead and unsure about dogs on the lead.

Yesterday one of my friends came round and had brought her yorkie with her, I popped Katie on her lead to see what her response to this 'stranger' in her house was and she was fine sniffing and tail wagging. As it was a hot day here we went out into the back garden, I let Katie off the lead but we kept Roxy on the lead for a little while. Once Katie seemed comfortable with Roxy being in her garden we let Roxy off the lead. Well for the first time in the three years since she was attacked Katie was playing with another dog, I was so proud of her I know that it's only 1 dog and it is a small breed and nothing like the dog that attacked her but it's eventually a start. Thought I'd share this as I was so pleased with it all, and it was lovely to see her enjoying another dogs company.
Well done you! Good Job! You are doing everything right with your dog and now you are being paid back with what you want to see! Keep up the good work!
