Talking Rotties finding their voice!!

my little rottie pup vegas, is quite vocal before we give her her dinner, when she wants to go out of the room and when shes grouchy. i read on the internet when i was researching the rottweiler breed, that they dont usually find their voice until they are 2/3? has anyones rotties found their voices at such a young age?

OOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo yes!!!! My boy Nelson is a good talker but the best talker I've ever heard belongs to my friend in Belfast. He actually yodels down the phone to me and has done since he was a pup
The best thing you can do is teach her 'speak' and 'quiet' so she knows the difference

Re: Rotties finding their voice!!

Mia used to bark at me when i was about to fead her. I would ignore her until she stopped then i would put the food down. Don't let her think its ok for her to bark at you all the time.
As above i would also teach her speak and quiet!
Good Luck!

Talking Re: Rotties finding their voice!!

the first day that we got vegas, she soon settle in within a few hours and from then on she is quite vocal.

if she sees something that wasnt there before, then she barks at it.
i got a new big candle and shed not seen it before i put it out, but when she did see it she went off on one. but i took the candle off the table and put it on the floor, she ran away from it, but then slowly walked right up to it within about 30 seconds.

she is getting herself quite aquanted with any noise outside and people she can see out of the window. she is quite the guard dog and barks at everything and everyone, out of the window!

i will definately be trying the speak and quiet, another training mission i will be undertaking!
