Fingers crossed......

........Koda is now sleeping until 8am!!

On some advice from somewhere in the forum, we (my OH - I'm on night shifts atm) has been getting up at about 4.30am and letting Koda out for a wee, he is then settling back into his crate and sleeping until about 8ish!

I'm sooooo pleased! The only pain will be at the weekends if i'm not working as one of us will have to get up, but it'll be nice to be able to go back to bed again!

The last few days have been ok as OH has been off work - following an argument with a sharp knife at work, and a trip to A+E!

And the funniest thing - Koda is always excited when he sees other dogs when out walking and likes to say hello, and is sometimes a bit OTT......but when we met a pyrennes mountain dog x alsation he completely changed!

He is used to seeing dogs smaller than him, but this one was HUGE - I've seen smaller horses!! It was hilarious, he didn't really know what to do, and didn't even attempt to play with it!

Happy Birthday Koda - 4 months old today!

Re: Fingers crossed......

At only 4 months he should eventually get used to sleeping in later.

Saying that my greyhounds know I get up at 5.30 and usually start barking just before then. last week for 2 days I started work at 6am so fed the dogs at 4.30 now the greyhounds think I'm getting up at 4.30 every day and that includes the weekends. I'm of work for 2 weeks holiday starting on wednesday and I'll still have to get up at 4.30 to feed them hopefully they'll realise I'm not getting up.The beauty of it is at least you get to go to bed.
